Hello there! Welcome to Kronberg Danes; here's a little about us... We are small hobby breeders with a great love for Danes. My love of researching has kept my interest peaked in breeding Danes over the years. I like to study bloodlines, look at structures and try and predict behaviors, types and colors. While I don't breed often, I put a lot of thought into each litter. My dogs are first just that, my dogs. They sleep on the couch, they follow me around, they keep me company and they make me laugh. When the time is right, we may have a litter. I will never have more than a couple of dogs at once. It is nearly impossible to give great quality care to many dogs. They certainly won't get the necessary 1 on 1 time that is essential, especially when pregnant. I also believe that all dog breeds should be as free from inbreeding as possible, especially when breeding limited colors. The gene pool is already limited. While without inbreeding (or "linebreeding"), we can't predict with as much accuracy what the puppies will look like, I feel that they have a better chance of being healthy. This matters not just for this generation but for all subsequent generations as well.  I do screen our dogs that may be bred for possible health issues.  I feed a raw, biologically appropriate diet.
